Patience!
Patience is a virtue that we all struggle with on a daily basis. Going back to last weekend, we were supposed to have an all-expense paid trip to Pittsburg for a Christmas party---cancelled due to Connor being sick with Strep. Monday morning we awaken with Caroline, sick. Monday evening, Lori calls with news that they have no water, and won't until 12/24. Therefore, they need a place to stay. They want to stay at our house in town, but they have to wait for heat because a new unit is being put in. With much persuasion, they stay with us for the next three nights. Caroline misses 3 days of school (+ 1 due to snow). Saturday rolls around with a planned shopping day--almost cancelled due to a job accident and Craig being called out to work. Thank God for Mama babysitting. Saturday night comes and we get to have our McGlone Christmas. By now, I am exhausted and in need of sleep. Then comes Sunday!!! Church, a funeral, and finally, the Youth Party. Craig has to drive the van for the first time, and forgets that there is no children's service. Therefore, he comes in with about 20 kids with nowhere to go!!!! We patiently wait for a movie to be rented to occupy their time. And you wonder why you never get a phone call?

Tonight we got to enjoy our church Christmas Play, "A Stranger in a Manger". Those who worked so hard on this play did a great job. Caroline did an awesome job as "Dancer/Singer". The greatest thing I heard after the play was that a parent of one of our youth wanted to schedule an appointment with Chris to learn more about being a Christian!!!!! Isn't it amazing how HE works?
